Now, I’m not one to follow too many rumors, only enough to purchase after a major trade show (e.g. MacWorld), and to see if the last update would be made not entirely too far from a purchase. I’m nowhere near collecting more photo gear, but prior to Photokina, the buzz is afoot with Canon gear.

• A new pro body at 22MP.
• 100-400 f4 IS L (constant aperture)
• 50mm f1.2. I wonder if this would be an L lens; at US$1600 rumored, I would think so.
• 20-50 f2 Interesting. Very short range, but a real nice street lens. Rumor deleted off fredmiranda.com (!)

I don’t know how much credence to give to any of this hype, but there it is.

This image really works for me; everything from the placement, and even the horizon line is pretty straight! I knew the moment I got it, it would be right.

I didn’t see a lot of what’s going on here in the background, at least consciously. Make sure to click through and note all the other characters, and how they’re composed. I’m quite happy with some of the surprises. Please feel free to comment, and critique; I’d love to hear what you have to say. Which version do you like better, black and white, or color?
