Well, it was a wondrous adventure, full of surprises, partying, and general fun. We stayed at the very deluxe Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort in Cabo San Lucas. It’s very well done, but after a few days, the whole experience started to feel a little stale and repetitive. Whatever. Fun was had by all. More photos can be found on flickr. While leaving port for a fishing trip, we were dismayed to find that Damien had missed the boat. However, who do we see jumping up and down screaming at us from a nearby slip? Yup, Damien had located us!

Well, wonder of wonders, the good captain backed up the boat and let our new passenger aboard. After some time in the rapidly-decreasing fog, we later caught three striped Marlin, and let them back into the water, albeit with new piercings.

The local color was really the best, in my opinion. Compare this shop photo and the resort:

As I said, I think the resorts are nice, but a little to similar for me. Kale remarked that the workers and the drivers of the golf carts—yes, there is a transportation system to get you from your antiseptic room to the stale hotel food—only made $5 a day. Next socialist president, coming right up.
Anyway, it’s an interesting place, to say the least, and we left as the first of the wet T-shirt contests were beginning. Alas.
